Poured into plastic tubing, Dexpan Expansive Grout can break reinforced concrete and rock under water. It works safer and more effective comparing to traditional construction tools and equipment like controlled blasting, hydraulic breaker, and jackhammer.
•14 samples were made to try and test the use of Dexpan in the demolition of underwater bedrock.
•Two kinds of rock were tested; soft sand compacted rock and limerock. The limerockhas a hardness of up to N= 50.
•Water temperature was 31°C. and water depth was 0.20 m and 1.80 m.
